About the event

Middle Schoolers are invited to learn about sewing from local volunteers Jayne Wisler and Zann Lijlegren.

In Session One, students will learn to thread a needle, sew on a button and hem and/or repair a garment   In Session Two, they’ll design and apply a decorative patch for their jacket or jeans.  In Session Three they’ll finish their earlier projects and select and cut out the material for a custom-made fleece hat.  In Session Four, they’ll learn how to use a sewing machine and complete their hat.
